Friday was a "staycation" day. Ms. K and I both had the day off. We meandered around town and were sitting down to an early lunch after visiting a few local landmarks when I got a phone call that went something like this:
Caller: Hi, it's Milwaukee Glass Block. We had a postponement so we were wondering if we could install your window today.
Me: Sure, we just sat down for lunch. We could be there by 1:30.
Caller: Sounds good. We'll have the crew call when they're on the way.
In about 90 minutes, the old window was removed and a new glass block window was put in.
Building inspector arrives on Monday to check off the work that the electrician and I did. We'll soon be putting up new ceiling and walls. The rebuilding continues.
