July 3 update

Here's where we stand as of July 3, looking at the west garden bed. Plenty of greens, radishes are coming in, and the second crop of spinach and lettuce are underway in a couple of squares. We have not purchased lettuce at the grocery for about a month.

Tomatoes are fruiting. Here's costoluto fiorentino, which is doing very well. I counted about 9 or 10 tomatoes on the vine. Looking great!

Within a few weeks, we will have plenty of tomatoes. Hopefully the second cropping of lettuce is ready to go too. With the bacon in the freezer and gluten-free bread, we are looking forward to delicious BLTs from our own garden.
