We're in the home stretch! This weekend, I spent time in the shop to resaw and plane to thickness material to trim out the end of the island cabinet. We wanted to add a bit of interest to the cabinet end in order to make it look a little more formal (and to hide the seam between the bookshelf and cabinet).

After an hours work in the shop with the bandsaw and thickness planer, then a little time upstairs with the air nailer, we have a faux end panel on our cabinet!
