At long last, the cabinets we painted the new cabinets for the island:
First, primer. Here's the bookshelf that will face the south windows:
Painted. They look great. We're thrilled with the results. We used Sherwin-Williams ProClassic semi-gloss, color name: Cruising.

Next, here's the main part of the island. The right opening will contain a mixer lift, at center, we will re-use drawers from the old island cabinet, and at left, a knife drawer and pull-out trash and recycling center. Also, note the color in the paint can at the lower left...
