Preliminary plotting: seeds

There was a request to share details about the seeds I mentioned earlier. We aim to please here at Squaresville in Shorewood! (Actually, usually only ourselves where this blog is concerned.)

  • Tomato: Marvel Stripe Heirloom. "Big, rosy-red fruits are marbled in gold and have mild, sweet, meltingly smooth flesh."
  • Herbs: Blue Borage ("Sky-blue starry flowers...fast-growing herb") and French Rosemary.
  • Columbine: Mrs. Scott Elliott (aquilegia coaerulea). "Flower treasures with large, intricate blooms in lovely spring colors."
  • Squash: Honey Nut Baby Butternut. "Space saving, climbing mini butternuts offer convenience and delicious sweet flavor." Also, Bush Yellow Scallop Heirloom Summer Squash. "Tender-fleshed, buttercup yellow scallop squash on space-saving, prolific bush-style vines."
  • Lettuce: Red Deer Tongue. "Uniformly dark red leaves in loose heads for frequent cutting. An early American favorite."
I am very curious about this red lettuce!
