We passed the rough inspection! The building inspector looked at my plumbing and carpentry work plus the work of our electrician. No corrections to be made!
After the rough electrical was installed, I pulled down the ceiling. Trying to patch all of those cuts would have been a real nightmare. In the end, this was probably the right choice. Below, find a photo of the bath heater/fan combo plus the ducting.
I pre-measured for drywall and headed to the local less-than-great home center to pick up lightweight, mold-resistant drywall for the ceiling. With a utility knife and drywall square in hand, I sized the drywall in the parking lot and fit it in the back of the wagon. Again, another in a series of "improbably large items in a small car."
With Ms. K's help, we hung the ceiling boards.
Next up, hanging the rest of the drywall and the GoBoard for the tile backer. We have an appointment with the electrician on the 25th to tie into the new subpanel.
We'll be setting tile soon...
