In preparing for our 2021 gardening, I picked up a new indoor grow light: a Feit full-spectrum LED. The old fluorescent set-up was a little dimmer than what we really needed.
I adapted the frame I made a few years ago to work with the smaller light fixture, fitting it over the top of an old Ikea end table:
This one is bright!
Ms. K and I wanted to try growing lettuce inside (well, mostly me). I planted this lettuce in an old lettuce tub from ALDI around February 8. By the 12th, we had lettuce sprouting:
Today (February 15), the lettuce looks like this!
Looking forward to not only having fresh greens from the upstairs but also to starting seeds and to warmer seasons in about six weeks. Our revised set-up should work quite a bit better.
