Just a short update tonight: the tropical depression hit Wisconsin and we got a ton of rain. The street was flooded again because the storm sewer grates are covered with silt cloth to prevent grit from clogging the sewers. Alas.
In the garden, tomatoes are climbing! It's hard to believe these were little sprouts just 10 short weeks ago. Training them to climb has been worthwhile. I do not miss tomato cages at all.
