Garden dinner

Mr. H. cooked up a mighty fine dinner tonight using garden produce. Green onions*, kale*, cherry tomatoes*, jalapeno*, a little chicken stock, a splash or two of cream, and some Asiago cheese combined with trumpet pasta made an excellent dinner. And lunch for tomorrow.

I had a gigantic sandwich today for lunch: Monterey Jack cheese, lettuce, basil leaves, and HUGE SLICES OF TOMATO that would enliven the dreariest soul! Also some potato salad with a lemon garlic vinaigrette to which I added basil and chives from the garden.

Good lord, I love late summer.
