After a weekend of abundant rain and warm temperatures, the garden is finally taking off. The early star of the show is the zucchini! It's been growing more quickly than anything else (as zucchini and other vining plants tend to do). Soon, Mr. H. will install the trellis net and supporting frame so we can train the zucchini to climb and not be a bad neighbor to the adjacent peas and tomatoes.
Greens are growing! Some are starting more slowly than others, but there is definite progress here! (this square was planted on May 2...).
Kale sprouts. Looking good!
