Flowers in pots, for now

I started some seeds in pots today, thinking that they will be ready to transplant by the time we have the front beds in planting condition.

Dianthus (one of my very favorite flowers), zinnia, phlox (as a backup in case the seeds started inside go kaput).

We plan to punch plant names on the can lids we have saved all winter, but that's more of a rainy day project. Put it on the to-do list!
